Kappa Chapter at the University of California, Irvine was established in 1994, driven by a group of empowered women who envisioned the creation of a new Asian sorority on the UC Irvine campus. These ten pioneering women came together with a shared mission to create a sisterhood that would provide Asian-American representation and promote cultural awareness.

From the very beginning, these founders aimed to build a strong foundation based on the five core pillars that define our sorority: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Sisterhood, and Asian American Awareness.
